Kerur, Jan. 4: Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Kerur organised World Braille Day. Student Ku. Shivraj spoke about the importance of the day and raised awareness about the importance of Braille among the people of the society. Later the Pradhanacharya explained about Louis Braille and his accidental blindness, which he overcame and invented Braille.
ಕೆರೂರು, ಜ. 4: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಕೆರೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವ ಬ್ರೈಲ್ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಕು. ಶಿವರಾಜ್ ದಿನದ ಮಹತ್ತ್ವದ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತ, ಬ್ರೈಲ್ ಲಿಪಿಯ ಮಹತ್ತ್ವದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸುತ್ತ ಕುರುಡರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಮಾಜದ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಿದನು. ಬಳಿಕ ಪ್ರಧಾನಾಚಾರ್ಯರು ಲೂಯೀಸ್ ಬ್ರೈಲಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಕಸ್ಮಾತ್ತಾಗಿ ಆತನಿಗೊದಗಿದ ಕುರುಡತನ, ಅತ ಅದನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸಿ ಬ್ರೈಲ್ ಲಿಪಿ ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿದನು ಎಂಬುದರ ಕುರಿತು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.
