Kerur, Sept 16: On the occasion of World Ozone Day, a program was organized herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Kerur to raise awareness about the importance of ozone layer and the need to protect it. The program started with a brief introduction of World Ozone Day. The importance of ozone and the role that ozone layer plays in protecting the earth from harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation was explained. Students performed a skit on the theme ‘Protect ozone layer, save life on earth’. Depletion of the ozone layer by human activities such as pollution and the use of harmful chemicals (CFCs) such as chlorofluorocarbons were creatively depicted. Students used props and visuals to explain the effects of ozone depletion and emphasize the importance of environmentally friendly alternatives.The skit conveyed the message about steps individuals can take to reduce their impact, such as using ozone-friendly products, planting more trees and reducing pollution. Students were educated about the importance of the ozone layer and the steps needed to protect it.
ಕೆರೂರು, ಸಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 16: ವಿಶ್ವ ಓಝೋನ್ ದಿನದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಕೆರೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಓಝೋನ್ ಪದರದ ಮಹತ್ತ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ಅಗತ್ಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಕುರಿತು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ವಿಶ್ವ ಓಝೋನ್ ದಿನದ ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತ ಪರಿಚಯದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಅರಂಭಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಓಝೋನ್ ಮಹತ್ತ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ಓಝೋನ್ ಪದರವು ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಹಾನಿಕಾರಕ ನೇರಳಾತೀತ (UV) ವಿಕಿರಣದಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ವಹಿಸುವ ಪಾತ್ರವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ‘ಓಝೋನ್ ಪದರವನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಳಿನ ಜೀವವನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ’ ಎನ್ನುವ ವಿಷಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ಸ್ಕಿಟ್ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು. ಮಾಲಿನ್ಯದಂತಹ ಮಾನವ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಿಂದ ಓಝೋನ್ ಪದರದ ಸವಕಳಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ಲೋರೋಫ್ಲೋರೋಕಾರ್ಬನ್ಗಳಂತಹ ಹಾನಿಕಾರಕ ರಾಸಾಯನಿಕಗಳ (CFCs) ಬಳಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸೃಜನಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ಚಿತ್ರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಓಝೋನ್ ಸವಕಳಿಯ ಪರಿಣಾಮಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಸರ ಸ್ನೇಹಿ ಪರ್ಯಾಯಗಳ ಪ್ರಾಮುಖ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿಹೇಳಲು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ರಂಗಪರಿಕರಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ದೃಶ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿದರು. ಓಝೋನ್ ಸ್ನೇಹಿ ಉತ್ಪನ್ನಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸುವುದು, ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮರಗಳನ್ನು ನೆಡುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಮಾಲಿನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಮುಂತಾದ ತಮ್ಮ ಪರಿಣಾಮವನ್ನು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡಲು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದಾದ ಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಕುರಿತ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸ್ಕಿಟ್ ಮೂಲಕ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಓಝೋನ್ ಪದರದ ಪ್ರಾಮುಖ್ಯತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅದನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲು ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವ ಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು.
