Kerur, Aug. 29: Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Kerur celebrated “National Sports Day” to commemorate the birth anniversary of India’s greatest hockey player ‘Major Dhyan Chand’. Shravan Kumar, a student of class 7, explained in his speech about Dhyan Chand’s life achievements and the Olympic gold medals he brought to India. The Principal Smt. ಕೆರೂರು, ಆ. 29: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಕೆರೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತದ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಹಾಕಿ ಆಟಗಾರ ‘ಮೇಜರ್ ಧ್ಯಾನಚಂದ್’ ಅವರ ಜನ್ಮದಿನದ ಸ್ಮರಣಾರ್ಥ “ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ದಿನವನ್ನು” ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. 7ನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಶ್ರವಣ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಧ್ಯಾನ್ ಚಂದ್ ಅವರ ಜೀವನ, ಸಾಧನೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರು ತಂದುಕೊಟ್ಟ ಒಲಂಪಿಕ್ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವರಿಸಿದನು. ಪ್ರಧಾನಾಚಾರ್ಯರು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ನೀಲಕಂಠೇಶ್ವರಿ ಅವರು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ದಿನದ ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಬೋಧಿಸಿದರು. ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ದಿನದ ಕುರಿತು ವೀಡಿಯೋವನ್ನು ಸ್ಮಾರ್ಟ್ ಬೋರ್ಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತೋರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
