Keruru, Oct. 2: Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Keruru, celebrated Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti.
- Addressing the gathering, Sri Yashwant recounted key events and inspiring episodes from the lives of these two national leaders. He particularly emphasized Gandhiji’s ideals of truth, non-violence, simplicity, and self-reliance, as well as Lal Bahadur Shastri’s values of simplicity, honesty, discipline, and commitment to the nation.
- Principal Sri Shrikrishna addressed the gathering and spoke about the importance of building a society where women can move about freely and confidently at any time. He cited the thought that “a society can be said to have truly progressed when a woman can walk safely at midnight.” He encouraged everyone to uphold dignity, mutual respect, responsibility, and safety within society. Furthermore, linking the occasion to ‘Swadeshi Saptaha’ (Swadeshi Week) which has been observed since September 25, he highlighted the inspiring ideals of ‘Sarvodaya’ and ‘Swadeshi’ championed by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya. The audience was encouraged to prioritize domestic products, self-reliance, and the welfare of all sections of society.

- ಸಭೆಯನ್ನುದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಶ್ರೀ ಯಶವಂತ್ ಅವರು, ಈ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರನಾಯಕರ ಜೀವನದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಘಟನೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿದಾಯಕ ಪ್ರಸಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದ್ದಲ್ಲದೆ, ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿಯವರ ಸತ್ಯ, ಅಹಿಂಸೆ, ಸರಳತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ವಾವಲಂಬನೆಯ ಆದರ್ಶಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಗೂ ಲಾಲ್ ಬಹದ್ದೂರ್ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿ ಅವರ ಸರಳತೆ, ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕತೆ, ಶಿಸ್ತು ಮತ್ತು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ಬಗೆಗಿನ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
- ಸಭೆಯನ್ನುದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣ ಅವರು ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ಯಾವುದೇ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಕ್ತವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸದಿಂದ ಸಂಚರಿಸಬಹುದಾದ ಸಮಾಜವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸುವ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. “ಮಧ್ಯರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಯೊಬ್ಬಳು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ನಡೆದಾಡಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದಾಗ, ಆ ಸಮಾಜವು ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಪ್ರಗತಿ ಸಾಧಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಬಹುದು” ಎಂಬ ಚಿಂತನೆಯನ್ನು ಅವರು ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಿದರು. ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಘನತೆ, ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಗೌರವ, ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಅವರು ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ 25 ರಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ‘ಸ್ವದೇಶಿ ಸಪ್ತಾಹ’ದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭವನ್ನು ಜೋಡಿಸಿದ ಅವರು, ಪಂಡಿತ್ ದೀನದಯಾಳ್ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಾಯ ಅವರ ವಿಚಾರಗಳಾದ ‘ಸರ್ವೋದಯ’ ಮತ್ತು ‘ಸ್ವದೇಶಿ’ಯ ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದರು. ದೇಶೀಯ ಉತ್ಪನ್ನಗಳು, ಸ್ವಾವಲಂಬನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾಜದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಆದ್ಯತೆ ನೀಡುವಂತೆ ಸಭಿಕರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
