Kerur, Dec. 10: International Human Rights Day was celebrated herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Kerur. Students spoke about the historical background of human rights and the evolution of human rights, from the Magna Carta of 1215 to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted in 1948. And presented a speech further explaining the concept of human rights and their importance in ensuring a just and equitable society. And the students performed a thought-provoking skit highlighting various human rights issues. The meeting concluded with a pledge to reaffirm commitment to upholding human rights.
ಕೆರೂರು, ಡಿ. 10: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಕೆರೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಾನವಹಕ್ಕು ದಿನವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮಾನವ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನವ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳ ವಿಕಾಸದ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತ, 1215ರ ಮ್ಯಾಗ್ನಾ ಕಾರ್ಟಾದಿಂದ 1948ರಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಮಾನವ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳ ಸಾರ್ವತ್ರಿಕ ಘೋಷಣೆಯವರೆಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾನವ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳ ಪರಿಕಲ್ಪನೆಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ನ್ಯಾಯಯುತ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾನ ಸಮಾಜವನ್ನು ಖಾತ್ರಿಪಡಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಅವುಗಳ ಪ್ರಾಮುಖ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ವಿವರಿಸುವ ಭಾಷಣವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಹಾಗೂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ವಿವಿಧ ಮಾನವ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸುವ ಚಿಂತನ-ಮಂಥನದ ಕಿರುನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು. ಮಾನವ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಹಿಡಿಯುವ ಬದ್ಧತೆಯನ್ನು ಪುನರುಚ್ಚರಿಸುವ ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಭೆಯು ಮುಕ್ತಾಯಗೊಂಡಿತು.
