June 5: World Environment Day was celebrated at Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Kerur. School children gave speeches on environment and displayed posters written by them.
Mr. Ranganath, Northern Cluster Academic Coordinator of Rashtrotthana Schools, planted saplings in the school premises and spoke about Global Warming and its effects. By planting saplings in the school premises and making fingerprints in their classrooms, the children said that everyone is responsible for environmental protection. Eco Club and Science Club of the school organized the event. School teachers and staff participated.
